Wiring help

Hi all, I'm new to the forum but have a D4 which I am just fitting my garage door opening device to! I have run all the cables into the cabin (via the grommit on drivers side) and was wondering if there is an easy place to grab a live feed from on the driver side? Any help much appreciated.

permanent live or only ignition switched live?

Cigarette lighter socket would be best. Thumbs Up

Cheers Bodsy, I did think it would be the best spot, as the wires are over that side, you wouldn't happen to know how easy it is to get under their do you? I did try pulling the socket yesterday but did'ny give it too much force! I only need a live when ignition is on!

Excuse me if I've picked this up wrong, but why are you wiring a garage opening device into your D4?
I would've thought a GSM 'dial to open' wireless device would've been the best solution?
Or a similar system that just uses a key fob button to press?
Have I picked this up wrong?

Confused
