Limp Mode D4 3.0 Tdv6 help

My 59 reg d4 tdv6 with about 30k on clock, drove 40 miles on motorway today and car felt a bit sluggish but thought not much of it, came off motorway onto fast A roads and accelerated hard, massive plume of smoke out the back, I'm talking cloud sized couldn't see the car behind. Drove on a little while longer and went to overtake another car on the same stretch of road after 5 or so more miles and again another massive smoke cloud. Reached our destination parked up all day, came home on motorway again and was driving along at a steady 65 and the engine lost all power, was about to move out from lane 2 to 3 so was a little scary, coasted to slow lane and the power came back in again, it happened 3 or 4 more times before going into what felt like a limp mode. I managed to get home slowly with no check engine or warning lights and have land rover assist coming out in the morning! Seriously p'd off at the car, had it 4 weeks and it's gone in twice for other warranty work already!! Water in footwells, central locking, epb not releasing, amongst others.

Any thoughts what this latest fault could be please???

from what I gleam from the others over the past few years I would say the hose between turbo and inter-cooler has split or de-laminated, but as I wrote it's what I gleamed off the guys with knowledge.

do a search for inter-cooler hose and check for same symptoms

not been on here for a long time, so thought id reply. it was the brake light switch apparently if there is the smallest bit of play in it although the brake lights dont come on the fuel valves can get conflicting messages and either over fuel or vice versa. didnt believe the tech guys explanation when i collected the car but sure enough its cured the problem from that day on
