the problem should have gone away by now. The issue was one of the adatives in the gas was attacking the flexible hose to the fixed regulator, causing a waxing in the regulator. On ours, there was a fine wire mesh on the inlet side of the regulator, that became blocked. I took it out, washed it in warm water (so that it was clean and clear), replaced it, and never had an issue with it again.
