MY12
In the dealer today looking for an HSE with extras. They offered me £13500 for my 08MY with 85k miles so a change price of £45k Does that sound right? Are prices that low? Or am I getting shafted? I would have bought today if deal was right.Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

I don't mean this literally, but I hope you are getting shafted
I was offered 20k on my 08.5my 70k mile HSE recently, and had hoped to get a bit more by shopping around. I hope prices have not plummeted that much. If they have, then I'm keeping mine too.

It seemed like they are quite happy about the sales from the Evoque and are not fussed about anything else. I would have written a cheque today for a new one on the spot if the deal was right but they wouldn't budge. Apparantly all dealer allocations are sold. I'm not so sure Global Warming.... Nothing too drastic. I hope. Privacy glass, Upgraded stereo, Heated steering wheel, Rear seat entertainment, Side steps, Tv and surround camera.
Sounds good to me. But a discount would be good.Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

Sounds rather low - a quick look on "approved used" shows a 2008/08 HSE with 76k on the clock going at 23k, WhatCar's price guide suggests the following for yours:
Land Rover Discovery 4x4 2.7 TDV6 HSE Auto 5dr 2008 (08) 85,000 miles
Dealer £21,495
Private £20,400
Part exchange £16,995
Trade £16,160
Cost new £44,595
Doing it on the 76k advert, it comes up with a dealer price of £22,530 so they're not wildly different

Shop around......
Over here in Ireland, because we now have so few dealers in the entire country, it is not unusual for people living in Dublin or further north to be buying from dealers in the far south, in counties such as Wexford for example. Often these dealers have the better deals.....
But the D3 trade-in prices for higher mileage vehicles are falling away a bit.... D4's are likely to hold their values better simply because there aren't as many of them around (due to the current climate)!2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

What currency is that then? I'm pretty sure the UK base price for a 2012 HSE is 50,350.00. I make that a good 9% discount on the vehicle? Who are you dealing with?
