Compressor fault checklist ? UPDATE |
|
I am having what (appears) to be a common fault with the air suspension.
when attempting to drop it into "access" mode it is raising with the message "extended mode selected".Then yesterday I got the yellow warning followed by the red "suspension fault, max speed 30mph" message.
It cleared after switching off and on again, but it's still not happy.
I have searched on here, and the checklist, before I go and get a new compressor is........
1 check/replace rear bulbs
2 check/replace brake light switch (location please ?)
3 get height sensors checked/recalibrated
4 remover compressor dryer, remove contents, clean out the dust, dry and replace.
Is that pretty much it ?
ps Flack is hooking it up to his box of tricks this weekend......will the stored fault codes shed some further light on the culprit or is it a generic suspension/compressor fault code ?
cheers

I'd also suggest checking the three connection blocks under the NSF wheel arch - open and check for corrosion - repair if needed or just clean, dry and reseal with electrical grease. I see no ships........

Update time.......
its now refusing to lower or raise from normal height with the message "suspension fault".......
I also have an intermittantly dimming/flickering sat nav screen, and the red "alarm armed" indicator is triple flashing as soon as I switch the engine off.....could all the suspension problems be caused by a dying battery or faulty alternator ?
