Mine's at the Dealer - Got it At Last!
Just had an email to tell me that my new MY12 is ready to go at the dealer's. It's been PDI'd, the towing electrics fitted and it's ready. It wasn't due for delivery until 23 November so there's a surprise. Martin Potter at Taunton LR tells me that other models are delayed so I've been lucky.
One problem. I'm down in the Dutch Antilles until next week so can't get at it . I'll pick it up on the 18 November earliest.

Hi Bill,
Bet you can't wait !
We've just completed 1000 miles in our Buck Blue MY 12 D4 XS and we (well the missus really as I never get to drive it !) are loving it. Once I get the Atera bike rack on (number plate has been added as of last night), she won't see me for dust at the weekend LOL.
My neighbour has an Evoque (petrol, top of range, cant remember the badge!) on order for March and its in Firenze Red so would be good to see the pics to pass on and whet his appetite.
Off topic - has anyone else had difficulty getting the detachable towbar cover to loosen off with the £1 coin ? We cant get one side to loosen at all and the coin is starting to chew the plastic !!
Bill - enjoy when the time comes!
Pete

I tend to use a 10p coin as it seems to fit in the slot better... mind you we're poor here in East Yorkshire and don't see as many £1 coins as 10p's!! 2006 D3 S (I use it when I can prise the keys off the wife!)
2009 Astra CDTi SXi ecoflex (I use this when I can't!)

Finally got it and I'm well impressed. The colour looks brilliant, the new dash layout and altered displays are bang on. On the 40 mile run home at 70mph, the total average was up to 28 mpg and that included the 14 miles and standing running of the PDI so improved mpg looks a cert.
First thing I did when I got home was to give it a dose of Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
I read some comments about some XS owners of MY12 having the Premium Nav System. I thought that I had it but apparently not. The way to check is if you have TMC. If you have, it's the Premium nav system.
As always, (third new Disco from Taunton Land Rover) the buying experience was hassle free. The deal done by emails initially and then sealed with a hand shake. Martin Potter, the salesman, proved once again to have exacting product knowledge and made the whole deal a pleasurable one.
I'll try to get a couple of pictures up tomorrow.

Congratulations! Sounds great.
A bit of a shame about the Premium Nav - presumably the XSs that have it, weren't really meant to and LR have now realised and changed things. Hope it wasn't this forum that alerted them! Mines due in a couple of weeks, had been hoping it would benefit, but seems less likely now.D4 XS MY12 Galway

Apparently the ones that got premium got it because they were out of stock of the correct units,

So it's a hardware thing, not a software 'upgrade'?
Don't know why, but I thought it was just software - shame. D4 XS MY12 Galway

A few photos of the new toy. The colour is subtly less stark than Fire Engine Red. I'm very happy with it as it's always a difficult job choosing from only a small swatch.
