Hi chaps, how would you like your 15000 mile first service for £350.00 well if your location is near Royal Ascot garage in Ascot call them up and ask for Barry Towersey he's the service manager and tell him Gazavich sent you.

I would be worried that your service had been carried out correctly for that price bearing in mind most LR dealers labour rates are arround £85-£100 per hour or they are just desperate for work.
What does your dealer charge per hour Sonic?

They knocked the Vat of if i had it done before the end of Feb. I phoned around (Stratstone / MJ Fews / Hereford Landrover) all were similar prices but Hereford Landrover lost the Vat. It pays to live in Herefordshire  I can resist everything except TEMPTATION

Must be a price war going on in Herefordshire, the 'cheapest' Stratstone service here is £389! Zermatt silver 06 reg.

Dear All,
The time has come for the SE V6 Auto to have its first service. Stratstone Solihull dealership has just opened in a new facility (very posh) and after a little persuasion has confirmed a price of £233.14. The worst being Guy Salmon in Startford upon Avon at £325.00.
So, off it goes on the 19th May to be fettled and will up date you all as to what happened.

Folowing on from on this price chat, I wondered how much it is going to cost me for my first sservice and so called Ripon Land Rover. Service guy came straight back with £220, using LR oil inc all parts and labour and a courtesy car. 4 week lead time for bookings.
That seems pretty good compared to some of the prices quoted here and means I will not have to travel far for competitive servicing. NOW SOLD: 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Zermatt silver with Alpaca Leather

Harwoods at Coulsdon have just quoted me £330 for the first service. You would think that there would be a standard charge?? Perhaps LR could comment (they do read this after all!!). MG

Following on from my visit to Stratstone Solihull, they have completed my first service at the agreed price of £233.14. I decided to wait in the very nice LR coporate style show room and was well looked after. Plenty of coffee and comfy seats ........ ranting again!
I have no complaints about the work, they updated the software (not had a chance yet see the difference), cleaned the leather seats in line with a LR work instrction (not sure why?), GTX oil used and no other parts replaced. It will go back on Friday to have the park brake changed as they had run out of kits, the only thing was that they could not detect the rumbling above 40MPH that can hear.
John Dawes is the service advisor and was very helpful, in fact he has a Frelander and Series 3, which has to be a good thing ......... if you went to the Gaydon bash on the Sunday you would have seen him in the car run from Lode Lane. Discovery 3 SE Auto Zambezi Silver
