disco 3 and sterling overlander!
Hi there, just got a disco 3 to tow the caravan instead of the freelander 2 which did a sterling job: on reading the 300 pages of manual abit confused re the air suspension lowering and ride height etc: is there any need for lowering or highering with a tin tent on? never had the optino with the freelander! also another stupid question im sure, sorry but need a tow bar and can yuo confirm if the detachable ones asre ok for alko and easy to fit? either that or the permanent one which is about £400!
thanks

Welcome Steve
Both types of tow bar will be fine for the Alko system and the lowering and raising is for ease of getting in andbout of the D3 really. Enjoy the new experience Club Exped trailer

Hi Steve welcome to the worlds best 7 seat tow vehicle, I use the air suspension for picking up the caravan and popping it down.
rather than winding the leg down and lifting the van off, I just raise the sus up drop the leg down and then drop the sus and drive away.
i have a removable tow bar, never leave it in unless in use as the lock is not a security device , its a non fall out by accident device.
