xheck your dealer sometimes they do a good price on OEM.
There are a few after market ones that fit. Just be careful the gap between the posts and the end of the bttery is small enough for the module to fit. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I'm pretty sure there is a label on them - saying they're a Varta. Take the battery cover off and take a look.

Surely any battery of the required physical size, 950CCA and 95A/h would suffice.

With the issues I found using a non genuine battery once it's getting on I'd be sticking with a Genuine battery.
I had "Leaking Voltage" issues with it. 2014 SDV6 HSE White, LLAMS Height Controller, Tinted Glass, Tuff Ant Sliders and 18" steel wheels, Safari Snorkel, Rhino Rack Platform, ARB Air Compressor, Custom Drawer and storage unit -http://www.box.com/s/jem0ilac3cner2mexq64 UHF CB, 4x4 Intellegence RWC, 120ltr Long range tank, Rock Sliders and Compressor protection plate Beanie grill, De Tango.

I believe that the alternator is designed to work with the Pb/Ca battery, producing higher voltages than standard batteries are happy with.
I have no evidence to support it, but think that the Silver batteries also meet the criteria.
However, it is important to realise that the current battery spec for the D3 (like the RRS) is for 950CCA (and 90A/h?, although it's the CCA that is critical).

I have a Scangauge (or did until lightning hit within 4 feet of the car) and the max voltage I have seen is 14.1 volts - usually after start and it then settles down to 13.5 after ther car has been running for a while.

Hi garry,
Which suggests to me that your battery is fully charged. Have you measured it under heavy load (high beam, heated seats, Heated windscreen, rear windscreen - I imagine your RRS has all that).
Best Wishes,
