After previously owning a D3 XS manual, I strayed to the land of the rising sun and bought a Mitsubishi. It was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction after my pampered 3 required a new clutch at 48k.....which from reading other threads seems to be quite good going for the manual.
Anyway, 6 months of a L200 Doublecab longbed proved long enough, the recent inclement weather found the L200 not to be the most competent 4wd (possibly due to its lack of weight), and the lack of terrain response in the snow really unsettled SWMBO. As a car it was 100% reliable but also 100% uncomfortable and not the best for towing ( a bit "choppy" with a 17ft flatbed).
So, I now have a D4 on order which should be here for the end of January. Can't wait to get back in a Land rover (and my 4th Discovery). For all the faults and niggles they develop they do get "into the blood"
