Going to have a go at this on my 05 D3.
Getting switches together, has anyone fitted the YUL500320WUX into a early D3 and can confirm colour match with existing dash grey surround, some photos the new switch looks like a darker surround?

I’m not seeing the acc button in those
I thought the button was optional. But could be wrong

From reading on here and looking online i cant see a Discovery 3 switch set with the ACC button ?
So i am looking at buying the disco3 6-button switch set per above, for the plastic facia only.
Then fitting to the buttons from a RRS, YUL500860WUX.
Apparently the fascia piece is inter-changable.....New Engine - Fitted with body on...

So i purchased the replacement face only from powerfuluk, its far too dark (Bottom)
I then purchased the YUL500330WUX (Middle)

So having read the RRS owners manual I still have one question.
What is the forward alert system and button in Center console all about? Is it necessary for acc cruise ?
Also I am considering fitting the sensor and ecu. Getting it working and later fitting the steering switch pack and maybe Center switch.
What will the system be like before I add switches. Is the default cruise gap ok for motorway? A roads?

According to an RRS owner with this fitted, they only ever used the Center console switch once. So I think you D3 guys are going to a lot of fuss to fit a switch which isn’t necessary or useful.
I myself have a 2005 RRS. I knew it had the connector behind the bumper. However I’ve just found the ecu connector near the throttle pedal. Took a bit of searching. The connector was wrapped in foam and stuffed into the box section. Because it had the front connector I knew it had to be somewhere.

Similar to this from eariler post (2010 rrs). Though most of my cable is in the box section.

As 2005 cars had more wiring than later models. And because it’s shown in the D3 video I would have a look for the wiring.
