Don’t know. Usually under the Center console. Follow the yellow wire covering, as that signifies airbags.

If you have access to an RRS, it’s hidden to the side of the throttle pedal. See previous pics in this thread.

Unfortunately i was too late, both RRS went to the crusher but there are a couple od D2's that i can get the plug and wiring from.
I have everything else apart from the radar bracket which i will 3D print if someone has the STL file they can share, sent a couple of pm's but no reply yet.

Wife just got back from UK and brought my parts with her, saved me about 50 pounds in postage and import costs. Last piece is the ECU which is on its way from the US, then i need to get a connector from a D2 for the ECU and the cabling for the lot.
Radar sensor came with the plug and short length of wire which will help.

Finally got mine wired up but hit a snag. Changed the three CCF items for my 2006 NA LR3:

speed control: "Speed control is fitted" change this to "Adaptive Cruise Control"
standard speed control display type: change to "Adaptive speed control display type"
adaptive cruise control indication in instrument cluster: mark as “Enabled"

But the ACC module never shows up in ECU infos and all I get is "Cruise Control Unavailable". So either I have a wiring fault - already check it 100 times - or my new ACC ecu is no good. May have to source a used one just to swap in and see what happens. Oh, I will add that I did swap high speed CAN wires around to make sure I got those right. Oddly that did not result is any CAN bus faults, so makes me wonder about the ACC module itself. I think if I those were wrong the truck would panic a bit.

Looks like I found the issue. Appears I have a D4 cruise module. Nice and brand new and useless on a D3 since the CAN BUS bit rate is different. Oops! I guess in my haste to locate part and deciphering part numbers from various car makes I messed up. At least it was cheap at just $20USD. Off to find the correct one. Kinda glad actually since this was really racking my brain, so knowing this makes me feel better. Although I am still an idiot for doing this...

I now have this working in my 2006 D3.

Parts:

ACC ECU NNW501923
ACC Radar NNW502350
Switch Panel YUL500860WUX
D4 Steering wheel with BBS boards
Bracket 3d printed from Ollie795's design

Needed full access to the CCF - enabled by Pat @ GAP - then just 3 options to set.

Mine is occasionally tracking vehicles in adjacent lane (left), so need to double check the alignment. My gap increase / decrease buttons also aren't working. Other than that though it is working really well.

Thanks for all the guides and details in this thread!

Hi mate, can you please confirm that you've had no issues with using ECU NNW501923 ?

Well my idiocy has been resolved, at least in this case. The NNW 501923 ECU module arrived in the states from the UK and the system came online after I let the D3 "sleep" for a few minutes. Before that I would only get "cruise unavailable" when pressing the steering switches. It did not trigger a calibration, just simply started to work.

Many thanks to all that contributed to this project. Now I just have to mount the ECU and clean up my mess of testing wires now that I know it works.

Kit AC031+ AC034 and AC033

Hello, good afternoon, I am new to this forum, I have been reading the topics in general for some time. I have bought an RRS3 and I have completely restored it, I also wanted to mount the LR4 steering wheel with paddles and I bought the conversion plates and everything now works except the cruiser control, which with the original steering wheel works for me and without errors, I have checked it Everything is well assembled with the instructions that came with the PBL kit and I don't know what else to do. If you could help me I would appreciate it.
I'm sorry if this isn't where I should post this, but I'm already desperate with the issue and don't know where to turn. I am from Valencia, Spain

If it works with the old steering wheel, then it must be a connection on the D4 wheel, you need to check the switch and wires.

Flack Thumbs Up

Hello, good morning and thank you for answering. That is the problem. I have already reviewed everything and while testing the actuators of the LD4 steering wheel buttons, I realized that the SET+ button does nothing when pressed. So I think it must be a problem with the new PBLs that I bought from Blackbox Solutions LTD.

@Ollie795 Wonderful write up about ACC retrofit.

By any chance did you manage to find the correct pins for Radar Connector and ACC ECU ?

Also would you be willing to share the designs for the two brackets? Happy to make a contribution Smile

@Toni Santos - If I get the things right you didn't have ACC or your RRS.
With the D4 steering wheel you put extra PCB for ACC.
So if that's the case I would try to remove the AC033 and test.

The D4 steering wheel is for ACC not sure if that's not an issue if you don't have ACC.

p.s. Have in mind that I don't have so great expertise as many others here.

Hello, good afternoon PPETKOV, I have already tried that and it doesn't work either. They left me another flyer
It only has the shift paddles and cruiser control and it doesn't work for me even if I only mount the PCB of:AC031+AC034
