D3 Tyres - Can you mix patterns/makes front & rear? |

OK, So i had a coming together of my DIII & the kerb yesterday & blew the NSR outright & took a chunk out of the NSF so 2 new tyres required.
To add insult to injury someone has nicked the spare in the last 72hrs so when I went to replace the torn one I had nothing to go with.
Question is, I have Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asymetrico 255/50/19 107Y tyres (they are RR Sport alloys) & I have read varying articles about whether or not you can change makes & tread patterns on 4WD's as it affects to the torque distribution, causes other issues & other people say it's not an issue to have different front & rear pairings.
What's the view of experts on here? I have picked up alot of very valuable help on this site to I value opinions of those in the know.
Also, if anyone can send me links to the mechanism I need to buy to replace the stolen spare wheel carriage underneath the car I would appreciate it as I only eveer had the spare alloy out once to check it & inflate the tyre correctly so don't really know what I am looking for in replacement parts terms.
I will be fitting a chain or a security device to lock the new spare to the underside of the vehicle so if anyone has views around that also then I'd appreciate a steer too.

I'm pretty sure a 107 load rating isn't enough for a D3.
Also the 50 profile instead of 55 will mean the speedo won't be accurate. '05 D3 HSE, Logic 7, fridge, 4x4info, and more to come!

echo those sentiments, need the right spec tyres for the wheels (see your instructional manual or the sticker on the side of the drivers door sill). not only for the purpose of the transfer of power to all corners/speedo reading but also for your insurance policy - wrong spec tyres means a big get out jail card for your insurance company

Excellent advice as always from people on here, ignorance is bliss as I was not aware of the tyre sizing difference compared to factory spec when i bought the car with the wheels already on it so a new set of 55's will go on to ensure the sizing, safety and speedo elements are covered.

Anyone have a view on the Cooper Zeon 255/55/19 tyre?
I'm not looking to go green laning or up to the axles in ditches, just need to understand if these will give me good road grip, rain handling and a bit of winter comfort in snowy conditions or are they a big no no.
Been offered 4 at 150 each fitted as opposed to Pirelli's which are 200 each so a saving of 200 quid.
