going through the same process right now - have been talking to Simon at one of the site sponsors (MHC) - 600 quid for 2yers inc roadside assitance, for their Premium cover - seems to look good.

Is this Kam's product? If so been chin wagging with one of our number about claims with that company and you don't get anywhere til the part physically disintegrates. We were talking about bearings, even if massive play, forget it until it's in a few hundred pieces. Unlike other policies where if there is excess play (outside spec) then the part as failed and can be changed & claimed for. The policy is cheap, but cheap for a reason.

Sounds similar to the warranty I bought from local dealer which is also provided by CarCarePlan.
I'm happy that it was good value, but don't expect it to be like the manufacturer's warranty. They are strict (but reasonable) about what's classed as wear and tear, but I bought it as insurance against big unexpected bills and it's covered a couple of those so I'm happy it was a good choice.
Check how much more it is for three years if you're planning to keep the car - it wasn't much more than two.
