Just gone from 17's to 18's, WOW what a difference! |
|
Hi Guys,
I've picked myself up a used set of 255/60 R18 oem wheels off an SE discovery from ebay, to replace my 235/70 R17's on my 57 plate GS.
All I can say is WOW, what a difference it has made to the handling, a lot firmer in the corners with less wallowing, its totally transformed how she drives. Just got to get some GG AT's hung on them now.

I must admit the ride is also a little firmer on rougher roads, but the the sway point was the vast choice of tyres for the 18's.
On the plus side I shall still keep my 17's for just in case, and the 18's didn't cost me a lot, got them pretty cheap really, so can always change back

The bloke I bought my 18's off had bought a set of 22" overfinch wheels supposidly, they must be as smooth as driving a road roller down the road over pot holes

I am about to receive my 18" wheels for my D4 3.0Lt.
Should have them on just after Easter. Will post some photos, or at least a link to the photos.
The tyres I chose are Cooper LTZ's 285/60/18.
Cheers, Craig
