Just gone from 17's to 18's, WOW what a difference!

Hi Guys,

I've picked myself up a used set of 255/60 R18 oem wheels off an SE discovery from ebay, to replace my 235/70 R17's on my 57 plate GS.

All I can say is WOW, what a difference it has made to the handling, a lot firmer in the corners with less wallowing, its totally transformed how she drives. Just got to get some GG AT's hung on them now.

I've just gone from 18s to 17s - wow what a difference so much smoother and far more of a plush ride! Thumbs Up

I must admit the ride is also a little firmer on rougher roads, but the the sway point was the vast choice of tyres for the 18's.

On the plus side I shall still keep my 17's for just in case, and the 18's didn't cost me a lot, got them pretty cheap really, so can always change back Thumbs Up

The bloke I bought my 18's off had bought a set of 22" overfinch wheels supposidly, they must be as smooth as driving a road roller down the road over pot holes Rolling with laughter

I am about to receive my 18" wheels for my D4 3.0Lt.
Should have them on just after Easter. Will post some photos, or at least a link to the photos.
The tyres I chose are Cooper LTZ's 285/60/18.

Cheers, Craig

I have a problem with my AT2s on the rear. Both the 1st 30mm from the outer edge has warn away. I tow a heavy caravan with the car. I have a new spare but cannot find a new old pattern AT2 to go with the spare. Has anybody got an odd spare for purchase. Smile
