Rear Wiper Squeak

I went to use the rear wiper last night for the first time and it made an awful loud squeaking noise. Everytime it would wipe, it would make the noise. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know if it's the rubber squeaking on the glass (highly unlikely), or if it's from the wiper motor itself. Any comments appreciated. Thanks

I had that -drove me potty on a long wet motorway journey. Wasn't coming from the wiper blade but somewhere in the door. However it just went...?

Unsure if it mended itself or whether the wiper is about to pack up now but either way it's now gone.

Be patient -these things happen Confused

I had this front and back on delivery. Complained to the dealer and they replaced the blades all round. Since then no squeak!!

Rear wiper motor noise

I had a grinding noise from the tailgate when the rear wiper swept the window (both directions). Before I could get it to the dealer, it fixed itself...almost like the lubricant wasn't completely spread throughout the gearing...and then it spread the lub around after a few days of use.

The rear wiper blade still skips across the entire sweep every so often (both directions)...doesn't seem to matter if its partially dry/wet or if the wiper blade is clean or dirty...nonsensical, but works right most of the time.

PS: had dealer replace front blades which solved a very serious (and annoying) skipping problem.

Good luck.
