Loan Car

Hi

My D3 is in the garage for the week and I have a D3 se on loan it has 800 miles on it and the first thing i noticed is that it is a bit more spritly than mine, it makes my car seem heavy....Any Ideas on why and what I can ask the dealer to do about it

What mileage is on your HSE? - is it perhaps a case of the engine slackening up with time?

My HSE has 3700 miles on it so i would have expected mine to be looser

United Kingdom 2011 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Fuji WhiteDiscovery 4

done just under 3K miles and I have no complaints about performance. Seems pretty darn good for the weight it has to pull.

Well, at least you got an LR3 loaner... I got a Saturn this morning (and they were going to charge me $25 per day). (My car is in because yesterday the air suspension failed).

Neil - pure speculation, but I wonder if the apparent performance difference is similar to the difference in fuel consumption owners have (ie my 17.7mpg!!), in which case is there some production tolerence issue with the engines or more likely is the ECU a "bit variable"??

The ecu is very variable, is it not an "adaptive system" that learns the way you drive?
