Replacement ashtray panel
I've fitted the replacement ashtray panel and bought two new lighter sockets but they won't go fully in due to a panel behind. .
Am I doing something wrong ?

Replacement ashtray panel.
Well, after a bit of doctoring the panel fits but after putting the car back together the rubber mat seems short on the drivers side as there is a gap. Is this how it's meant to be after fitting the replacement panel ?

Can I ask, where did you get that panel? It looks a good option as my ashtray is stuck open all the time.

The part number is FBO500630WBQ and I think I got it from advanced factors.
But it doesn't come with the power sockets and I had to do a bit of careful dremmeling behind it as the holes don't seem to line up and there's plastic behind fouling the power sockets going in.
Here's some photos to help.

Thanks, I might look into getting one of those. I came across pic on the www that shows the same gap as yours I don't know if it's a design fault or is there a different lower tray for that panel.

will find out when the panel arrives regarding gaps etc,
looks as though there are indeed different panels available
will put up the part number if others are needed

fitted the centre panel
haven't got any gaps , took my time to ensure everything lined up ok
fitted an extension socket for now , so now got 4 x usbs and 2 x 12 v outlets
will get a smaller extension unit so it's fits better and neater
did have to slightly trim the back , so it sat nice and flush with the other trim
