Service Issue with Farnells Bradford
Got my D3 back late Sept it was demonstrater and the sales chap told me that the car had no more than 6k on one the clock when I picked it up found it had over 8k(singed on sunday pick was Tue night of that week),i was rather miffed as Id also forked extra for the supa guard, and the d3 was not cleaned properly and had scratches etc, on complaining these were put right. But my 15k service now only 1000 miles way do you think I should put my foot down and ask for a free service and hope I might get reduction or just take my business eleswhere anybody have any similar problems??

I think that you should have rejected the car or negotiated when you came to pick it up at 8k miles. Why have you waited another 6k miles to negotiate? Sounds a bit late to cut a deal.

hi javedi, i bought my motor from Farnells Bradford and, Im not sure of the relevance, but the car was due for its 24 month service in March, and I bought it with 13000 miles on clock early december. Without asking, the sales guy stated their policy was to service any car they sell if a service will be due within a 4 month period, so I got the service thrown in without asking.
If your service was due within the 4 month period due to average mileage or age of car then I would mention this point. The salesman stressed to me that they are undersigned by the coop bank and face strict guidlines to operate by.
Not sure if this helps, cheers.
