It is not possible to make a Foxwing thief proof. Is your vehicle thief proof?

There are about four different fitting kits available for the Foxwing. On the standard fitting kits the nuts supplied are normal nylon type nuts. These could be swapped for security nuts of various kinds.

For Defenders the Manbo bars are made that to get to the nuts holding the Foxwing on you would have to take the roof bars off the vehicle first. Manbo bars for Disco 1/2 will be very shortly available.

I have seen different ways of attaching Foxwings to different roof bars/racks. It would not be too difficult for a decent fabricator to make a lockable shield to cover the mounting plates.

Declared interest here, we sell Foxwings, Oztents etc. To date we have not heard of a Foxwing being stolen. (Is that the kiss of death?)

Probably! Laughing

Have to admit to a couple of restless nights with it left on my car on the drive Rolling Eyes I was wondering about altering the height of my trailer so that it'll bolt through from the inside (which would make it impossible to nick - unless they take the trailer too), but it's making the trailer too tall.

I have the foxwing on on prospeed brackets X3 Far super period to the supplied ones.
Also allows it to be folded flat when not in use.
With a bit of modifying ie larger pit pins you could padlock one so when folded flat no access to securing bolts.
If you need more detail PM me I will get you some photos

That said if bolted on it can be stolen Censored

Sorry until the weather breaks I cant get the close up pictures of the brackets.
Added some pics to gallery of Driffield
Here is mine an Andy's in action I am connected to the RV5 Andy has the rooftent.

TBH if just two travelling the roof tent has to be the way to go for ease of set up and then the foxwing gives you the cover otherwise the RV5 for the family gives acres of space.
