My Old Man, is a good friend of one of the senior management of the old Rover plant , not only has he tried to talk me out of buying a LRD3, he is organising a sweep stake for the number of days of my ownership before my first technical failure....
A) Should I risk a £5?
B) If so, what mileage / day should I place my bet?
Time is running out as, collecting Wednesday.....

Top Cat,
What’s a technical failure?
Had mine 12 months on Sunday 23/12 and done 12500 miles. No technical failures. It has only been to the dealers for the enhancement. I’ve had a couple of suspension warning lights but they cleared when rebooting the ignition. The worst failure was the 3rd row auxiliary power socket, which was a loose wire.
Define technical failure, get the best price/odds on none in 12 months and take it.
Can’t find anything I want this year for Xmas as last years D3 is still unbeatable.
H D3 gone for now

I've had my second since the end of March and nearly 14K miles, it has not had one single error, the only time it has been in was for the enhancement - I would take his fiver. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

What car does he drive? How about a bet on who has the least failures.

Depends if you mean niggles or things to stop you moving. I used to moan about my 06 Model with little things but the new one is about 6 weeks and 3000 miles old and it's perfect.
