If its a 2005 you can just blank the EGRs off as they may not be working, no downside but with the forthcoming change in MoT regs leave the pipework in place so it 'looks' like they are still in use, getting the codes read would indicate if they are at fault

Loss of power
MY 2007 manual transmission:
-First no faults now amber light, needs to be readed at shop for codes...
-No smoke or nothing abnormal
-Power loss at some times; pressing the trotthle at metal does'nt give any more reaction on revs...! it's a bit to compare with TR programm grass gravel snow...
-Fitted a new MAP sensor
-Cleaned MAF sensor (how to test this one?)
-Cleaned conectors of erg/sensors of fuel temp/temp sensor manifold...
-cheked the turbo actuator (is working and not stucking)
to do:
-at the end of this month wil blank the EGR's and map then out of the software in closed position also
ANY ideas what causes this lack of power some times??? I should think that a problem with Turbo would give some revs up and much smoke, wich i don't have...
Help please

Have you had the diagnostic codes read?
The throttle flap doesn't operate in the same way as a petrol engine and has more to do with the EGR system. Check you MAP sensor is not blocked, and if it is just use brake or carburettor cleaner and don't poke anything into it.
Beyond that it could be many other possibilities but it's just guesswork without diagnostics. If you can get the codes read with a decent diagnostic tool it will provide further direction if the above doesn't help. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

It sits in the "Y" branch air inlet section behind the plenum chamber which enters the inlet manifolds.
Have a look at this thread for pics of same just in front of the oil filter. (not the red plug, it's the one in front of that again in black!)

You need decent diagnostics for these vehicles, but see how you get on. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
