Changed the Auxiliary Belt today, courtesy of Pete Bells tools, a new belt from Nick at Yeovil and no small amount of penetrating oil. 'twere a bit stuck, 'twere.
Also replaced my intercooler hose with a BAS one. Old one was pretty oily - think there may ge a Daz challenge if I'm to save the shorts I was wearing. Oh, and managed to drop my torch down the pre-intercooler trunking that runs down the NS of the radiator. I swore quite a lot at that point. One piece of bend wire later and my trusty P7 was restored to me, thankfully.
Big humbs up to Pete for the great service on the hose and tools, and as always to Nick for his great service on the LR parts. While undoing the lower intercooler hose clip I found that the lower OS engine shield (KRN500042) was smashed, so ordered a new one while lying under the car. Looking forward to rewarding the man with a pint on Tuesday at the YAM I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
