Hi all,
About a few weeks ago I noticed that there was some condensation within the nearside front fog lamp on my D4. I assumed it was transient and that the condensation would eventually go. Unfortunately it didn't and yesterday I noticed that the lamp lense had devloped some cracks.
Can anybody tell me the cost of replacing the lamp unit? By seaching on the Internet Ihave seen how the front fog lamp bezel comes off, but not how the lamp unit inside is replaced. Can anybody kindly direct me to instructions? Or am I better off going to the stealers to get the replacement done?
For the avoidance if doubt, I have searched this forum to no avail.
Many thanks in advance for the support.

No need for a stealers!
Remove the fog lamp, pull off the bezel and undo 3 screws, then unplug it. Then look for a small mushroom shaped plug which is the air vent, this is probably clogged with dirt, so pull it off and clean it under running water, then remove the lamp/bulb and dry out the foglamp unit in a warm oven. Let it cool before ressembling with little white grease on all the o-ring seals, that should sort it out and stop it recondensing.

Ask in a ford dealer, try the ford focus one (if I remember well), much cheaper, same lamp.

Thanks Mr H and CUCO.
Actually, sorry if I was unclear, its not just a question of condensation. The lamp lens is cracked in quite a f places. So I believe the lamp needs replacing. Does the guidance you have given still apply? I am supposing yes, just replace the lamp with a new one?
Another aspect that worri me is that if somethimg goesbwrong is there a chance I could invalidate the warranty?

If under warranty I'd see if your dealer will replace under warranty before doing anything else - if it has cracked under it's own accord then.......! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Yes, replacement is a simple matter of undoing 3 screws , unplug the cable from the lamp at the back and the refit with a new unit.

One last note - when removing the screws, be sure to cover the small drain holes in the lower fixture. The first screw I removed fell straight in to the inner bumper structure!
