NAV NOT FITTED?
I recently bought a nav cd that was updated. I took the old one out about a day or two before the new one arrived and even after it was out the nav screen would say please insert dvd.
I went to out the new one in today and it would accept the disk, I have a feeling I've pulled a cable as it seems to not accept the disk or react to any button pushes, I had to lift the metal bar under the seat that is held on by clips to be able to access this.
Does anyone have any quick solutions to this or know of which cables may need replacing and I don't believe the NAV unit burnt out in 8 house when the car was off and on the drive.
Any help would be appreciated that doesn't involve replacing the unit as I'm confident ive pulled a cable but I'm not sure which ones are connected and how to access them.
Thanks.

Hi Steve,
and welcome
first thing to check under the seat any loose connections and if all ok i'd try a hard reset - detailed in the wiki here https://disco4.com/wiki/Hard_Reset

If it won’t let you insert the disc, the rectangular connector
Did you skag a wire on metal and Blow a fuse you think ?

you use the black lever, which will then extract the connector itself

Would this cause the battery to lock as I don't know the passcode I don't believe?
