It is so easy a child could do it. Assuming it is the same as the D3:
1. Buy fridge from Nick @ Yeovil Landrover
2. When 1. arrives take it out to your car with some torx drivers and a posi screwdriver.
3. Grab gear knob and pull upwards - slight panic subsides as it comes away with the cloth surround....
4. Unscrew screw holding EPB, slide EPB switch back and remove. Unclip connector.
5. Shallow coin tray opposite pops off and reveals other screw - remove that.
6. Remove rubber front insert where ashtray would be and cup inserts
7. Remove 2 large screws in cubby box lid side and then silver brackets wiggle off - lid now free
8. wiggle centre trim and it will come loose - unclip single electrical connector
9. there are a couple of screws holding the box in, undo them and remove
10. Connector is there wrapped in grey foam, plug it in and fitting reverse of removal.
It really is a 10 minute job first time and I bet I can do it in less should I ever need to again!

No, my iPod just sits in the coin tray and connects as normal.

Hi
My dealer has this to say about the retro fitting of a fridge....
The fridge is a bit of a minefield as there are 5 choices!! The one we think it is has a cost of £ 182.91 plus VAT plus switch and possibly a wiring harness. (If we put your chassis number in the parts system, it says not applicable because it knows your car doesn't have a fridge!).
Any ideas or advice please?

Whats the differense of those 5 choises? I have fitted a D3 fridge in my D4, and the light in the switch is only on for a few seconds, and off most of the time. Have i fitted one that wont work properly in my car?

Brilliant, and I mean BRILLIANT service from TLO (AKA Nick@Yeovil). Paid for fridge yesterday at 3pm and got it today at 3.15pm!! Cannot get better than that!!
No Instructions for fitting, so can anyone tell me please, which instructions should I go by on this forum? JonM's on 02August or BBdisco3 on 2nd May?
I have an HSE with rotary knob!

Really pleased with myself
I fitted the Fridge in about 40 mins (would have been quicker but couldn't spot plug, see below!), after nearly having a heart attack when pulling the centre console up!! It really needs a mighty pull (kneeling on seat!!) and then I went by the advise given on this forum by Jonm & BBDisco3. Thanks a lot!!
Pretty straightforward really, even for a dumbo like me who isn't into DIY/electrics
Just one thing to anyone who wants to retro fit a fridge to a MY2012, the connecting plug that fits into the fridge socket is wrapped in grey foam and is not obvious straightaway as it was lying under the other USB connection at the bottom of the centre console.
I was amazed how well everything just clips back into place. AND it all works!!

Thanks to nick for supplying the fridge quickly...
Working away currently but a quick trip to halfords to get the right torx etc plus my work sent up fridge my hotel during week as was delivered to my office and result was a car park fit in about 20 minutes
Easier than I thought, but I think it was my caution rather than any skill lacking
Thanks everyone
