That's all you need to know and that's as far as I read.
Whoever it was who conducted the 'Survey' had an agenda and that was to discredit anything positive about so called SUV's

tosh !
doing this kind of survey naturally leads to being more observant towards the subject of the survey... maybe they were not really behavioural scientists at all as they would know this
Try it... just try and count accurately if there is a male or female driver in all the types of vehicles on the road. And keep a log on columned paper.
Get your kids to do it... will keep em amused and I bet the answers will all be very different.

So did they do the same study for NON SUV's? What about Artic truck drivers? or Taxi Drivers or drivers of 'Muck' cars.
Jees, if they're goingto focus on a behaviour they should at least try to cover the % spectrum of relevant drivers actually on the road Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for reporting this rubbish. As a 4x4 driver, do you think that my incompetence extends as far as paying £55 per month for your services? If so please let me know and I'll take my incompetence elsewhere.
I was incompetent once! Paid £55 to Telewest instead.
Now that is f****ng incompetent! Back in the game!

so obviously motorway behaviour as interpreted by a third-party lab in Wellington, NZ , backed-up by a 'phone call or similar to some chap that just happens to be from a company in the same vicinity as the TRL in Crowthorne (to attempt to give it some weight I imagine) is relevant to the rest of the world then?
Is this actually 'news' ? maybe somebody should try and have them done under the trades' description....cut & paste options have done their work on this one!
I especially like this one:
The journal says that they looked at whether they drove with their hands at the "ten-minutes-to-two" position on the steering wheel, which is a sign of a safe, alert driver.
so how does that work then? did all these study 'subjects' then go on to have hideous incorrect-steering-wheel-hand-placement related vehicular disasters? I demand to see these results!! and theeeeennn......???

Yes no doubt - their study is worthless and outdated! Safe hand position is 9 & 3 or lower. I know police get trained to drive at a near 7 & 5 position for more control with todays cars.
