D3 STRANDED IN MALI- EAS DOWN!

Hi and Happy New Year to all!

Some friends are in Mali, having little problems with 2 disco 3s, EAS does not seem to operate correctly. I,'m thousands of miles away in Spain. so can't see if it's the compressor, pipes, air spings, height sensor, valve blocks or what is causing the malfunction (I'd go for the compressor or height sensor). The only thing Iknow is the cars are level at the minimum height (but do not know if they are resting on the bump stops)

I would be very grateful if you could tell me any dealer/workshop familiar with D3 in the nearby.

Thanks all!
 Regards, Robert

Any more info? warning lights or messages etc? if the car is level it's unlikely to be a burst pipe - can the compressor be heard running?

as far as I know there's no LR dealer in Mali, but most surrounding countries do, so if theyre near a border maybe it will be easier to get help...

There's only one in Senegal, in Dakar, but it is a useless one as they are more interested in selling BMWs...

What are the symptoms ? Any dashboard lights ?

Hi,
I could not post anything here, just the post did not open. Now it works.
Finally it solved itself.

They had a small leak in an airline. They found it following my instructions. And it seemed there was a tiny bit of sand in the valves but cleared itself.

The cars are back in Spain and now are shipping to Argentina.

They told me there were no sounds or alarms or lights. Everything went back to normal after plugging the leak and the sand cleared.

Thanks all!

I would like to know more about this. How did they go about finding the leak? once found, was it in an area that appears to be prone to leaking? Knowing what you know now, would you prepare the vehicles any differently?
