Advise your dealer before he touches your alarm system! |
|
Its worth noting that the BCU module stores a log of fault codes if the alarm goes off - based on advice from landrover my dealer interigated this to fix my very sensitive alarm!
This is where it went wrong! Full credit to my dealer & particularly the technicians as there were only acting on LR's instructions, but once you clear the log using the T4 this is where it all goes wrong!
MY CAR SHUT DOWN - the BCU was officially erased and cooked! The car is now dead.... real dead - no engine, power windows, door locks - NOTHING!
Needless to say the BCU is VIN dependant so the dealer has had to order me one up from the factory, 7-10 day lead time plus fitting!
My dealer has made LR aware - i think they are issuing some emergency bulletin or something
This is all i know im afriad - ill keep this post updated when i know more!
