Well Hi all Newboy hear
Need some advice I am hoping to get a diosco4 asap
I have run 300tdis andTD5 cars for years and rebuilt them-so know my way round them
Can someone tell me about the 3L engine there seems to be two different output engines
Does it have cambelts or chains
I am looking at ether a 2009 HSE or 2011 XS Whats the difference mechanicly

Hi Orack,
For the UK D4 3.0l's have had:-
210BHP commercial only
245BHP 2010 & 2011 model years (2009 - Sept 2011 approx)
255BHP 2012 & 2013 model years (Sept 2011 - current)
Belts - due at 7 years or 112000 miles (which ever is soonest)
2010 & 2011 MY mechanically the same bar DPF standard for 2011
2012 & 2013 10 more BHP, 8 spd gearbox, infotainment upgrade.
Mark. Gone: 2010MY 59 plate Bali Blue HSE.
Also gone : 2012MY 12 plate Firenze Red HSE.
In Bits : 2005 55plate 4.0 V8 Ibex 250s SW.

Just spent another Fryday looking for a good one(Disco4)---300+ miles in a Lifted 300TDi on mud tyres!!!
no joy maybe Im to picky-------
So found a Silver HSE round the back of a dealer near MK. Thats my new Demonstrator said salesperson
Not now it aint!!!! After a lot of coffee and barging I am the Proud owner a new Disco4HSE to be delivered to my door this Wednesday %&*$%javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')

Its Arrived all good so far---I'm loving it and I can play MP3 files
Just one question I had the dealer supply & fit a tow bar The demountable part is in a cardboard box in the back
I thought it should fit in the rear ns locker but there is just a bare space there. I thought it had a plastic storage
fitting to protect the wing panel
Should this come with the tow bar or is it a extra

There's one on eBay currently for £50, seems the going rate as I've seen them at that previously. Not sure what the LR rate is.
They fit well in the window boxes in the back of the D4, thats where mine lives. Nick

Had a word with supplying dealer they are looking in to it
Cant find one in ebay
Tempted with the towel idea but I concerned about getting a dent(or should I say bulge) in the rear panel
any one know the part number ?

That's where mine lived until I changed to a fixed tow bar. However I was always a bit concerned about the tow ball cracking the bottom of the box, which seems quite thin plastic. Therefore I lined the box with bubble wrap. Rich
