Can anybody suggest/advise an insurance company that will be willing to cover a re-mapped Disco? Currently with Aviva, their quote is cheaper than last year but they will not entertain any remaps.
Thanks.

I would not have bothered telling them. How are they going to know it has a remap by looking at twisted metal after an accident. But now you told them it may now be recorded in the insurance data base.

Adrian Flux have always been good to me, I've had a succession of modified LR's. They know what they're talking about & more importantly they know what you're talking about, I've spent too long trying to explain various modifications to mainstream insurers.
I also have a mate who currently has 3 p38 RR's (1 extensively modified for off-roading), 1 L322 RR & 1 F1 ...... he has been with NFU for many years & doesn't even bother to check quotes when the renewal comes through, he just pays! Nick
2010 D4 ....... now gone and replaced with a 05RRV Autobiography

Thanks for the replies. anjo14 I haven't got a remap yet but have been watching the BAS remap threads and fancy giving it a go, yet to see a bad comment about it.

I also was thinking about a remap, but may wait until the Spring and treat the old girl to a remap. BAS remap seems to be the most popular and the plug in remaps not so good as they seem to fool the ECU. Disc Mickey at Strathearn Engineering were also doing remaps. Maybe best to wait for a group buy on remaps and save a few quid.
