I also thought there was a technical bulletin on the early fixed tow bars. At one of the services in about 2006 i was supplied free of charge with a very strong drop plate that was not provided initially.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Possibly my mistake. I use mine without this plate, I just assumed there were two kinds of towbar out there.
