Hi all, newbie on here and looking for some advice on front exterior lights
I ordered some LEDs from hids4u last week (came very quickly and really happy) and fitted them easily.
Thought that would cure my problem which is - front left light goes out when reverse is selected ( I pull in and reverse in front of a window). I thought it was a sidelight/ existing led. Replaced that (thanks hids) and still the same?? Did notice a h8 bulb next to the LEDs that I replaced. Think the book has the bulb as static bulb it says h8 35w on the back of it.....
My normal headlights (xenon) work fine and no warnings on dash??
Any ideas? Am looking for a nice white light (led type if poss) couldn't find anything obvious on hides website might be me being dim tho.

Your issue/oddity sounds very similar ( though different light and a reverse of mine, as in yours goes out, mine comes on ) to my oddity with my indicator when reverse is selected, see my post from the other day.
Would be nice to find out if this a fairly common scenario.
Do you have the resistors fitted, or did you not bother?

Hi windowlicker,
Very odd isnt it. No I didn't fit any resistors pulled the old LEDs out and put the new ones in - does it make a difference? Or is that a stupid question?
And here was me thinking " oh a bulbs gone - get a replacement and fit it et voila" oh ffs.

If I were not so impatient I could have fitted the resistors whilst the lights were off the car to fit the bulbs.
Though sods law states that shortly after I removed the lights it started to pee it down, so just fitted the bulbs and put the lights back in.
Will get round to fitting the resistors at some point to see if it sorts the oddity, plus sort out the double fast tick tick from the dash.Procrastination is the thief of time!!

Last week I received LEDs that I ordered from hids4u. Also came very quickly and now I am very happy with them.
I bought interior lights for: boot, front, 2nd and 3rd row interior ceiling light and side lights.
There are warms white led and much more intensity...

Ian, even though we haven't seen you in this thread for a while just had to pop in and say.......
Placed a rather large order a few days ago and they arrived this morning. Couldn't wait to go out and fit them............wow what a difference. Even in the direct sunlight they look brilliant!
I fitted one side of the car first and then switched everything on for a comparison........quite frankly there isnt one. Even the postie came up for a look!
I now have every bulb in the car converted to a Hids4u LED (except the 4 that were out of stock )
Cant wait to go to work tonight and see them in the dark!
Well worth it: Brilliant upgrade. As an earlier poster said; DOnt want the D4 rear lights now. LED's in the red housing looks so much cooler 8)
