Paint Sealant
Well whilst the 'hardcore' offroaders are away for 10 days or so, I though we could start up the cleaning discussions again.........
Received my JetSeal109 paint sealant the other day, haven't had a chance to test it yet though, maybe get to do the bonnet this weekend.
Also have some Meg's Bug & Tar remover, seems to be a bit harsher chemicals in there as it tells you to make sure you re-wax and protect the paintwork after use
I've never waxed the car & I'm not sure I ever will, hoping the Jetseal will keep it protected enough....
Hopefully once that's got rid of the bug infestation on the front of my Disco & then I've JetSealed it, I'll be able to wipe away the bug guts easily next time.
Anyone else got anything recently.......
PS the toothbrush grades bit was a joke before anyone starts..... Bodsys Brake Bible

I bought some W5 glass sealant for my windows ( nanotech ?) .Its great stuff and a sinch to apply.Clean the window , remove bugs etc. Then apply this stuff rub it in , let it dry.
The result is that water just runs off the windscreen without having to use the wipers , especially at speeds of 75 klms +.I don't seem to get as many bugs sticking to the screen as before ( maybe thats because bugs aren't as plentiful with the change of season). Anyway I treated all the windows but one to see what the difference was over time and I have to say its amazing. Its pretty good on the rear screeen also, as before with the D3's backspray, it took ages to clear with the rear wiper whereas now , one swipe and its clear.
Its good stuff even for offroaders.I think carplan do a more expensive two-part version of it.

Ah another one to join the fun
Will try the JetSeal on one of the windows to see what happens. Not sure if its the paint surface it sticks to or any shiny surface. Will let you know Bodsys Brake Bible
Martin and Slimer are online at the moment.....I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
