Painting underside.
Just had a look at the underside of Mrs DSL's D3. Where the paint has been taken off by offroading, it's getting very rusty. Whilst not too worried about the guards & cross braces (stealer tells me that they are cheap to replace) the chassis has a bit of thin surface rust on it. Is there anything I can do to stop this, Hammerite or anything else like that?

I noticed that the chassis number stamp on mine is so corroded that its almost obliterated! It looks like there is supposed to be some kind of cover which is missing on mine, as it is a rectangular area around the number that is affected. I keep rubbing a bit of grease onto it, but it soon comes off.
I've tried the rubberized underbody coating for my old chevy truck two years ago and it's doing fine until now.'05 LR3 HSE V8 - Adriatic Blue - Larini Exhaust System - Lamp Guards - Dual battery system - Hidden 12k winch - Rasta Sump Guard
