no seed of doubt here i have been towing with the detachable towbar for the last 6 years and never once thought it would come loose just need to make sure it seats properly when inserting and locking
that sounds great news
i got to admit it does look much better when not towing (neater)
+1 on that.cheers

The electrics are plug and play (literally) - get genuine rather than third party though. Instructions are included in the kit.

Just to sound a note of caution! If your caravan is a twin axle it may be better to fit the adjustable height type towbar to give you some leeway on tow hitch height. This follows my own experience with my tandem axle Ifor Williams trailer.
That said I'm just a newbie on the forum so others who might know better will soon be along to offer guidance!

Well got the car now (pics to come)
It has got a detachable bar on
Only prob
The key broke when trying to take it off good news the dealer did it
I have got a new key made up so before I go steaming in
Any tips on releasing the bar, it looks like it rarely if ever has been taken off!

I have never taken mine off. Having had a plonker run up the back of me when stationary (me not him) I can vouch for the protective effect of the towball. Crunched in his front and just split my plastic tow ball cover.
And I don't even tow anything
