Having questioned the availability of the multi height towbars I was gobsmacked when my other half told me she had phoned LR customer relations and asked what the score was. Although it took her most of the day it seems as though there are some "technical difficulties" associated with the multi height towvbar and that the current version has been withdrawn. A new design has been tested and will be available late march and apparently it will not look exactly the same as the current one. Can anyone confirm this and lets hope that LR are true to their word.

I had to go to the National Boat Caravan and Outdoor Show today. Late this afternoon I visited Witter and LR.

Indeed the new multi-height tow bar for the D3 was on the Witter stand. Testing is complete and it will be available from April. Cost Tbc "but it will be cheaper than LR". (There are picture's of the D3 in there 2007 spring catalogue on the test track)

So I went to the LR stand and asked - "Where's my multi-height towbar ??"
Ans - " Ahh there was and issue and they have been withdrawn "
Question - " OK what's the issue and whats the plan ?"
Ans : "Not sure what the problem is/was but we are finalising testing for the new one which will be available in April"

So in summary an unknown problem and a new one available in April. (Till then tow your twin axle's on two wheel's !)
