All sorted now and LRCS admitted it should have been fitted and even asked the dealer why they had waited so long to sort it... well they said 'you told us it was not supposed to be there'

So depending on who you talk to at LR... it should be there / should not be there.

If rumour proves correct then parts were taken from dealer demo cars to add to customer cars... so I think my car was a demo to start with then got switched somewhere down the line... so I missed out on the part being fitted.

And it was delivered 3 months early too.

Posted this in my original Settings Menu thread... forgot I'd got this running Smile

This is really interesting Simon, because why would you want a memory module in a none electric seat ?

Because it completes the set of parts required to activate the driver personalisation feature... Settings Menu.

Some options are invalid (and can be turned off in Test Book I am told) if you have no dipping mirrors etc.

Without the memory seat module (I got the part number from one of our friends) the system cannot be made to work.

Maybe some of the settings are stored there or something... sure someone we know can explain how it all ties together electrically.

Don't hold it against them... LR are confused. Told them days after I got me car and was told yes then no then yes then definitely no again.

A good forum member told me it should so I pursued it patiently.
