All winter I have been getting hazy vision through parts of my windscreen. It is especially noticeable when looking at other car number plates when I am driving.
At first I thought that my windscreen must be dirty on the inside. I eventually cleaned it, but it was still the same. Then I assumed I must have a sight problem. However before rushing off to my GP, I finally realised it only happens when I am using demist with the fan turned down to a low setting and the heat up high, so it must be heat haze.
I have never experienced this in any other vehicles I have owned! Does anyone else notice this in their Disco?

Are you sure it's not the heating elements in the glass?

On mine depending how you look at it sometimes it looks kind of blurry.
Mine's awful and I find that numberplates are really quite blurred through the parts of the screen that I normally look through.

Are you sure you're looking in the right place?
It sounds to me like something inside your car is wet and causing these problems.
I really don't understand your number plate analogy either.

Hi - I am just looking through the windscreen as I drive normally. The number plate thing is because they show the problem up most obviously by appearing quite blurred and wobbly, but everything is actually blurred and wobbly when the problem is occurring.
