I went through this recently and it a took a whole day to sort!
My D3 had a full service and they used A5 Magnatec 5-30. I tried everywhere to buy this and in the end phoned Castrol.
They eventually came back to me after much discussion and told me that the retail version is A1 and the commercial version sold to dealers is A5 - Both the same product
This was according to Castrol, so I bought it from Halfauds at the time, but that sounds a great deal you have found 2 x D3's (Twins)

Must be a loss leader to get you in, Halfords are £29.99 and looking at the wholesale price I reckon the best you will get is £25 for normal UK stock

UPDATE:
Call back from Julie at Wilko, Swindon......have now located 8x4litres which was all they had, apparently tucked away out of sight in the store room (recon a fellow member of staff wanted to ebay it).
SWMBO was duly dispatched and hey ho, we now have the "swindon stock" in me garage
