Lift rods

I am looking at getting a set of the two position lift rods for my disco 3 07 plate, but before i shell out on a set what are peoples thoughts on them?

i also have read that the car can go out of perameters in the magazines as the car loses where the suspension is, which is confusing me, as the car knows when it is in road hieght the car is dash displays its in off road hieght and off road height it is in super extend mode. therefore the car knows where it is.

can anyone explain what is meant by it going out of the parameters, as there will only be so much travel in the cars suspension system.

what are peoples experiences wit the lift kits aswell are they easy to adjust them.

Cheers

Simon

I have some fitted (but the fixed ones) work great, only downside is when you are in off road you are actually in super extended so if you get stuck, you cant go higher.
Also it tilts the wheels inward, so if left extended you may wear outside of tyres. I solved this by getting tracking/camber done after fitting.
Finally, when you fit, dont wag the lever up and down, try to keep as still as you can, you car gets grumpy other wise.

I've got black magic adjustable rods, running 1.5" lift. Tracking & Camber was done when fitted. No issues to date (I've just tempted fate there of course Laughing ) .
