Fatal mistake visited a dealer over the weekend and went for a test drive in a D4. Currently own a 55 plate D3 SE with 120k on the clock, could not believe the difference between the two drives. More power, refinement, quiet, improved body roll, etc, I was really surprised. D3 is almost agricultural in comparison. Down side or up depends how you view it is I ended up part exchanging for an approved 61 plate XS (Landmark) in grey. Nothing like a casual visit to a dealer.

Even worse in the US for impulse buys the dealer can let you drive it away there and then with temporary tags if the paperwork is all done - not much of a cooling off period so I'm staying away. There is a RRS SC that keeps popping up in my web searches. Must resist. Must. Resist.

Too right Del
Mr 6605, a Landmark IS NOT an XS
Seriously, just be aware that its not an XS spec being 'blacked up' to look like a Landmark.
Nothing wrong with an XS btw (in case I upset XS owners ) its just that its not the same spec as a LM. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

My apologies for any offence caused to fellow members of the "exclusive Landmark" club members My understanding is the Landmark sits between the XS and HSE, a limited edition manufactured in black, white then grey in Sept 2011. Being exclusive do we the "Landmark club" have our own higher tier website

"Landmark" ......you know .....similar to what Ford did years ago when they brought out the Cortina "Carousel"

I didn't want to say .... thought it might be a touch rude.
I'm an old git and even I don't remember that one.
That must've been one heck of an 'exclusive' model ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
