My local LR main dealer said a catastrophic bottom end failure was down to "wear and tear" on a 2008 D3 G4 Edition, two days after they serviced it.... someone mentioned they may have used the wrong engine oil, but this was in no way contributory to the failure..... if a TDV6 is only good for 54K I'm expecting mine to go bang at any time!!
