nigh on 1 year from this thread its happened again
Missus opened my chilli sauce stash cupboard and a bottle jumped out and smashed the hob again so the search for a replacement starts again

I don't think Knaresborough has an unlimited supply of slightly used cooker hobs. The next one might have to be sourced elsewhere.
However, if your chosen ebay seller is another Knaresborian then I'm available again to collect. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
