Stratstone is part of the same company as Reg Vardy and Evans Hallshaw. Big huh?
The labour rates are set by the big guys up top, not the service advisors or the dealer principles. There's naff all they can do about it! The labour rates are extortionate, but they're across the board. If you go to a Stratstone in London, or a Stratstone in Nottingham it makes no difference. The labour rate is the same. It's rediculous, but like I said there's nothing the dealership itself can do because they're set by head office.
At the end of the day they're also a business, and they are going to Profit Maximise! It's the same with anything. Especially with a massive faceless corporation. They price match to keep the customer, because some business is better than no business, but they are going to go in at a higher price because some people will pay it.

Well the Stratstones I bought from, wouldn't price match,or get anywhere near it,for it's 1st service, so needless to say,I went elsewhere, and won't ever be going back..........So the so called 'big boys' can go out of business as far as I'm concerned.

Pendragon is the company behind them so if you want to boycott them you'll need to include:
Stratstone
Evans Halshaw
Chatfields
Pinewood
CFC Solutions
Tins
and probably a whole bunch of others The End

Having worked on the sales side of the industry a few years back and spent time with various staff from Evans Halshaw outlets, I'd say avoiding them was a good idea. The kind of people you don't want to shake hands with unless you are happy to count your fingers afterwards. Very aggressive sales technique and those who ask for discount are shown the door with a "well, if you don't want it I have five other people I can sell it to". Surprising how many people turn around and walk back into the dealership in a situation like that I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
