How do I pay?
And just to be sure, mine is a 06, will it fit? You remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!

@Flack
He's sorted Mick, he bought mine from the 1st group buy, after 2 attempts of trying to remove my old pipe-studs on turbo seemed like they were going to shear off i gave up,didn't want the hassle if the studs to break!
Ended up having my cat cut out of original pipe and welded back up, job done and same effect i think, certainly improves low-mid pick up

cheers Darrell I ended up putting bolts back in my turbo connection as all three of my studs stripped off the threads when I wound them off

Believe me, it doesn't. Having de-catted both ways, a proper de-cat pipe on a D3 is the only way to go IMHO My D3 Build Thread

it seems to of improved for me,accompanied by remap and allisport fast road intercooler,I'm sure it has!
I'm pretty pleased with it anyway!I didn't want the risk of sheared bolts or the expense if they did shear! I did ask around locally and no one wanted to take the risk either,so it seemed the only option was to remove existing cat guts
If you can prove to me there is a significant difference and that it's not really a big deal if studs do shear off I'll happily buy another de cat pipe!
Thanks for your input Mickey it's greatly appreciated just wish there were someone like you locally that would do the job and not bat an eye lid

If you are happy with it, that's all that matters
The remap and I/C may make the effect more pronounced
Just speaking from experience. I gutted the cat on my bosses TDV6 RRS, and did not make any difference at all, other than the turbo whistle was a bit more vocal. Quite disappointed to be honest.
Was not sure what to make with the decat pipe, but at £90, you could weigh in the old cat and make most of your money back
Anyway, the pipe does look a lot less restrictive, and looks like the gasses will flow easier. There will also be less of a restriction where the gasses exit the cat chamber (which also acts as a silencer, as the gas slows down)
I can't prove anything to you, but my Disco does sound better than his RRS, and the throttle response has improved dramatically, and fuel consumption has improved out on the open road too. Got 33mpg out of it on the drive home after fitting the pipe, and it was still climbing My D3 Build Thread

Well i already had the remap and intercooler so i know what difference they both make from standard, since removing the cat,yes you are correct the turbo is a bit more vocal, but honestly for me as soon as i pull off it pulls and it pulls well,i'm sure it has made a difference oh but it smells a bit too As for MPG increase-maybe but i haven't really been driving like miss daisy to notice I'll calm down soon and see if its on the up.
Thanks Mickey

Is there a deal to be had in purchasing off-road intercooler, silicone hoses and de-cat all in one go I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.
