Newbie/touring questions for a MY2013 |
|
I've a 2m old HSE and am wondering about a couple of things ahead of a drive down to the Lot, so any help will be gratefully received:
1 - is there any way to enable the daytime running lights in auto mode? the manual seems to say they're only activated when "off"?
2 - is it true I don't need to do anything to the headlights to drive on the right?
3 - I'm trying to find a spare bulb kit but can't quite work out which one I need, and am definitely not buying the LR one which seems to be about 10x the price of what's necessary
Thanks again

Re driving on the right no need to change anything. Bulb kit = el cheapie from eBay.
DRLs would need activated via Faultmate ISTR.

As it is a HSE it will habe xenons and for driving on the right you are supposed to adlust them. There is a flap inside the headlight that can be adjusted to flatten the beam to stop glearing. They can be accessed with the lights in place but it is difficult, pop the lights out and take the rubber cover off the back, you can then see the leaver, takes about 10 minutes to do both lights. Some headlights in MY13 do not need to be adjusted for overseas driving.

Then click on Exterior Lights and then Headlamps-Driving Abroad.
There is a symbol on the headlight which identifies whether the headlight needs manual adjustment or not.

Mine need adjusting, but it was fairly easy once the grille was off.
Now, about those DRLs, who can put them on for me? It seems a bit daft that they come on automatically when the lights are in the "off" setting but not in "auto"
