Cleaning Plastic Wheel Arches / Bumpers.
What is anyone using to clean the plastic arches? I have been using Turtle wax Extreme, bumper / cockpit shine.
But it seems to leave a sticky coating on and it atracts dust. I am going to get something else but I don't know what, any ideas.Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Some people here swear by peanut butter; rub in, allow to dry and buff it up.
Don't drive near anyone with a nut allergy though.

I also use aerospace 303 protectant - bought from hot tub place (its used on the vinyl covers).
It's fantastic, it sort of dries without being at all sticky so it doesnt attract dust. Also doesn't smell.
Absolutely brilliant on tyres too.
TIP: it's also very good at hiding minor scratches on bodywork (though obviously they're still there really)Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Thanks for all the information, the peanut butter is fantastic, (crunchie on toast), but I am going to try and get some of the 303 stuff, online.

AutoGlym do a great range, available at most places including Halfords, the stuff I use, bumper care, is a green gel /paste and does a realy good job, non sticky, long lasting doesnt smell and is supposed to protect the trim too.

The peanut butter really does work and it is very good for removing paintwork polish from the vinyl (dealer not me )

Today I called in my local "Motor World" to see what they had, they had lots of different makes of vinyl protectors. The manager came over and asked if I needed any help. He recomended Meguires natural shine vinyl & rubber protectant. In fact he opened the seal on a bottle, and we went outside where he cleaned one of my rear wheel arches. The wheel arches on my TD5 where the worst plastic I had ever come across for keeping clean and neat.
So when I bought the D3 I asked for the arches, front quarter bumpers and mirrors to be sprayed black.
Looks good and cost £300 which I thought was reasonable. A lot cheaper than buying the LR ones as well!
For the remaining plastic bits I have started using Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel from here:
