Cheers for the write up Disco_Mikey.
Just done mine, around 3 hours start to finish, including cleaning a rear pipe joint that was leaking due to some crud build up.
If you are really struggling to move the front frame, make sure you didn't forget one of the bolts like I did....

Thanks to Disco Mikey for this. Changed mine today.
I used these to loosen off the frame bolts, cheap but excellent, only used one of them but no damage to the bit or the bolt. Loosened them off a week before so no issues on the day. Took rather more than 2 hours but not used to dismantling the front of the car, plus it rained a lot!

Got a Nissen replacement from ADvanced, was pressurised so know it should work. Interestingly it came with replacement o rings but I changed the smaller one and it was too big so refitted the old one. Tony

Got the new condenser fitted today, after a too hot summer (carwise!). A couple of hours work, made easier by soaking the T40 bolts for a week and gently easing/tightening them a bit each day. Had to use a crowbar to budge the frame, which is always an exciting tool for using on a car XD
New Nissens unit from Island 4x4, and unsurprisingly the new o-rings didn't fit. Used the old ones, as they definately were not 14 years old, I believe the previous owner had the stealers replace them to try and fix the leak.
Regas this week, and hopefully enjoy a chilled drive by next weekend
As always, massive thanks to all contributors to this thread. This site is impressive, and without it I could never have had a Disco β€οΈ

Great write up!
D4 slightly different. FML.
Surprisingly the T40s were the easy bit. I will ask the garage for two new o rings before filling up to be safe. π.
On a different not. What is the small cooler for? Craig.

Brilliant write up, much easier to see what the pictures refer to when you have the bonnet up.
Changed mine recently and used plenty of copper grease on the big bolts when I put it all back together
