One thing I've always wondered .......
You take a pitch with a motorhome (at a club site) which is generally charged at the same rate as a caravan.
What happens when you take a car along with a motorhome (whether towed or driven).
Do they charge extra for it?
Site policy is normally to charge for an extra car, but then a caravan set up includes the van and a car.
Never took a car along with my motorhome, but was always prepared to vehemently argue the case if I did....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Don't use club sites mostly CL and CS sites and even at the ones that have a second vehicle charge haven't been charged extra. Presume they treat it same as a caravan and car only one lot of wear and tear during the stay and don't take up any more space.==================================

always been confused by the rationale behind motorhomes especially when you tow a car
would nt it just be easier to tow a caravan with a car ,,, more space ,cheaper to buy ,and no having to use the sleeping vehicle to get around once your there

Looking forward to tomorrow as we pick our first (and maybe last) Motorhome up. We will be on the train to Lytham at 09-00. It passed its mot today with no advisorys, its also has had cam belts plus minor cosmetic work done and a solar panel fitted in the 3 weeks since we put a deposit on it. We have taken the weekend off to go and try it out (3 days on the North East coast) before we go to Spain and Portugal in early August.
